Clan Zeresh is the smallest clan on Endelaan. Centuries ago, it was the Zeresh that ruled the planet. Yet war among the clans and frequent losses crippled the tribe down until it was nearly wiped out. It was only by the interference of the Ancient One that other clans were ordered to cease and desist, lest Clan Zeresh be wiped out completely. To date, they have still not managed to recover their losses, as their children tend to be born as Nonforce Users, and many babies die young.
History[]
Clan Zeresh has, typically, been that of an isolationist group. With their first ruling leader thousands of years ago, Zeresh's leader found his people sick and ordered the first quarantine. Believing that a Force psychosis had set in on his people, he had those suspected of complete insanity executed - however, in doing so, a number of Force users had been killed, culling their potential numbers of future Warriors and Sorceresses - and in doing so, a curse was placed on their lands for their transgression. It was from here that the cycle continued to propagate: kill more of those suffering the psychosis, killing more Force-users, and the curse continued.
Their lands became barren and dry over time, a small inland lake poisoning itself to become a swamp over time. Their lands were infertile, unable to grow ample crops to keep their Clan going. Over time they lost more and more - those few Force-users not suffering psychosis were sent to other clans. Their genetic problems began to multiply with each passing generation, birthing less and less healthy children.
Currently Clan Zeresh has been quarantined completely for fifteen years by order of Nessarose, where their guardians are the skeletons of all the children they slaughtered in the name of self-preservation.
Ruling[]
Clan Zeresh lives in a communist lifestyle, where all agree to share in favor of survival, and has no set leadership of any kind, though some dominant people exist within the clan.
Appearances[]
The people of Clan Zeresh are considered to be the least visually appealing on Endelaan, though this is more because of the mixture of their features rather than any set specific reason. This is also due to their typically sickly appearance; with all the disease infecting their lands it is rather so that they look the part.
Fighting Style[]
Generally, the people of the Clan try to avoid fighting whenever possible. Those who are deemed suitable to become Warriors are often sent to Clan Vashti. Those who remain living with Clan Zeresh itself enjoy a certain amount of protection, as they cannot be challenged to the Circle of Catechism.
