Madoc is the former Priest of the Singing Mountain clan, the role he had while his mate Satara Hawk was clan mother. He was born a slave and was legally still one until Petra Cavataio altered Dathomirian laws on the issue. He is the birthfather of Adel'aide, Kytarra, Milan Hawk and Elayne Hawk and the adoptive father of Spencer Jacobs Hawk and Aston Jacobs Hawk.
Unlike slaves before him, when he met Satara, she took him as her first student, teaching him not only Allayan magic but force powers as well. He was the first pupil of the Witch.

The man had served as a wise adviseradvisor to his wife for the years of her rule and while Satara is clan mother, even now, he is considered equal in his wife's eyes and as such is the the Patriarch of the Hawk family along his wife being a Matriarch. Over the years, he has proven himself to be far more than that as well. While Satara has always been between the light and dark, always possible of falling to the wrong side, Madoc is all light and he is what keeps his mate from falling to the darkside. It is Satara's belief that as long as she has him, she will always be safe which is why she protects him with her own life.
